Mango Truffles

Mango - The quintessential Indian summer fruit that we relish ripe or raw in our Summer special dishes.. Since, the seasonal fruit will soon be off the market with the onset of Monsoon, let us make use with what we have at hand.

These beauties will bid good bye to us soon, only to come back again next year. Let us make some Mango Truffles that can be made with Mango pulp which you can store for months when frozen. These delicious truffles are perfect for all the Mango lovers like me, who just can't get enough of the delicious fruit.

Let's get cooking...!

Quick Mango Coconut Truffles stuffed with roasted almonds.

Ingredients -

  • 1 Cup - Mango Puree

  • 1 Cup + 1/4 Cup - Desicated Coconut

  • 1/8 Cup - Melted White Chocolate

  • 1 tbsp - Ghee(Clarified Butter)

  • 1 1/2 tbsp - Roasted almonds chopped

Instructions -

  • In a bowl add 1 Cup mango puree and 1 Cup desicated coconut and mix it well. Now, in a pan heat 1 tbsp ghee and add the mango-coconut mix and cook until it starts coming together and leaves the pan.

  • Let the mix cool. Melt white choclate in a bowl and add to the Coconut- Mango mix. Scoop out a small portion and flatten a bit on your palm. Add roasted almonds and form a small ball by using your fingers.

  • Roll in some colored desicated coconut and the Mango truffles are ready.

Pro - Tip : Adding Roasted almonds as stuffing adds a nice crunch to these melt in the mouth truffles. Store in refrigerator in an air-tight container for upto 10 days.

Mangoes have always been my favourite fruit. Making desserts with mango during the summer has always been a delight. Mangoes bring in so many memories of summers spent eating this delicious fruit with family. Eating mangoes after every meal used to be a ritual when we were kids. Which now resulted in so may Mango based recipes on the blog.

Or save this rcipe along with some (read a lot) of Mango in your deep freezer to relish this beautiful treat in the future. You can also make the healthy version of the Truffles by substituting the white chocolate with Honey.
