Mango Pudding


Mango - A fruit that defines summers and most loved by all. We wait for summers as summers bring along this delicious fruit and variety of desserts that can be made using this juicy fruit.Let's get to making a fusion dessert today.


Mango Pudding made using Kheer and Mousse. The combination of these two when paaired with crumbles of Mango cake and fresh mango chunks - it's heaven on a plate.


Let's get to the recipe.

Mango Pudding made using Kheer as a mousse base, mango cake topped with fresh Mangoes.


This yummy dessert is so creamy and flavourful, you wouldn't want to share.

Ingredients -

  • 1 1/2 Cup Milk

  • 1/2 Cup Cooked Rice

  • 1 Cup Whipping Cream

  • 1/2 Cup fresh Mango Chopped

  • 3 Tbsp Sugar

  • 2-3 Slices of Mango/Vanilla Cake Crumbled


Instructions -


For Kheer Mousse -

  • In a heavy bottomed pan boil the milk on high flame while continuously stirring. When the milk begins to thicken add in the cooked rice and sugar. Stir continuously and let the mix reduce to half.

  • Once the kheer is ready, let it cool completely. Once at room temperature blend the kheer in a blender jar.

  • Add the blended kheer to the whipping cream and whip to stiff peaks. The mousse is ready. You can additionally add 2 tbsp of Mango puree to the mousse.

For Pudding -

  • Use small glasses or jars to assemble the pudding. Tilt the jar and pipe the mousse with the help of a piping bag. Refrigerate for half an hour.

  • Fill the other half of the glass with cake crumbs and top it with some fresh chopped mangoes.

  • Serve chilled.


Pro- Tip : Use leftover rice to make this yummy dessert.You can make the cake from scratch or use store bought.

I have used leftover cake and rice to make the pudding.The blend of kheer and whipping cream gives it a really nice and creamy texture. The crumbled cake add to the texture and the use of fresh mango bring in the freshness.All in all a delightful dessert.
